OneKey is my hardware wallet for self-custody. Open source, touchscreen operation and very broad coin support.
View at OneKey → *Affiliate link · no extra cost to youOneKey builds hardware wallets for self-custody: your private keys sit on the device and never leave it. The firmware is open source and therefore publicly auditable, the same approach Trezor takes. The line-up runs from a compact entry device to the touchscreen model, plus a Bitcoin-only variant for anyone deliberately holding nothing else. Apps are available for desktop, phone and as a browser extension.
The firmware can be read in full. You do not have to trust the manufacturer, you can check. The same approach as Trezor.
Addresses and amounts are confirmed on a large display. That makes checking before you send far more comfortable than tiny button devices.
Supports a very large number of networks and tokens, comparable to Ledger. For a portfolio beyond the majors that is the deciding point.
No provider holds your coins. Not your keys, not your coins works in your favour here: the key stays with you, offline.
From the compact entry device through Classic to Pro with a touchscreen. Plus a Bitcoin-only variant with a reduced attack surface.
The KeyTag stores the seed phrase in metal instead of on paper. Survives fire and water, unlike the note in your drawer.
Whatever I am not actively trading does not sit on an exchange. Long-horizon positions move to the hardware wallet and stay there until I actually need them.
The touchscreen is the reason: when sending I check address and amount on the device, not only on the computer. That is exactly where the expensive mistakes happen.
Which wallet fits which profile is something you can work through in the wallet finder. Tangem, Ledger, Trezor and OneKey sit side by side there.
Model range from the entry device to the touchscreen model, plus the Bitcoin-only variant and the KeyTag steel backup.
